Wallingford-William F. Walters, 91, husband of the late Agnes Hanson Walters passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002 in the Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center after a brief illness. He was born in Yonkers, NY, a son of the late Frederick C. and Katherine Furcht Walters and had resided in Springfield, MA before moving to Wallingford in 2000. He was employed by the F.W. Sickels Co. of Chicopee, MA as a development engineer for 40 years retiring in 1976. He was a 50-year member of the Samuel D. Sherwood Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Springfield. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Frederick W. and Patricia E. Walters of Branford, two grandchildren, Jennifer and Adam Walters, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister,Katherine Walters Umbricht and brother, Theodore R. Walters. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center, Wallingford. Arrangements in care of BEECHER & BENNETT, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden.
